Meet Khaizappy – Our Biggest Fan on and off the Track

Every now and then, we meet someone whose story reminds us exactly why we do what we do. At a recent event, we had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with one of our biggest fans – and his story completely made our day.

Say hello to Khairul, a.k.a. Khaizappy – a nickname affectionately given by his army mates that has stuck with him ever since. But his journey with us goes way back, to his secondary school days. That’s when he first started using our antiseptic wipes daily to freshen up.

 
As he shared with a laugh, “That was when my ex-girlfriend (now wife haha) told me I’m looking a lot cleaner. I was shocked. Hahaha.”

From school to outfield in the army and today a proud father, our wipes became a trusted part of his routine.

During jungle trainings in National Service, he would always bring along his wipes to clean off camo after each mission. Soon, his fellow soldiers started asking for a wipe too – and before long, he became known in camp as “Khaizappy.”

And it gets better. In 2022, while competing in the MotorSports Singapore National Championship, Khairul wanted a customised helmet design for the race, to which the designer suggested “Since you’re known as Khaizappy, I’ll do the Zappy wipes design for you.” And just like that, a custom race helmet featuring our very own mascot came to life.

 
We actually met him once, about three years ago, at another event. His story stuck with us, but to our regret, we didn’t manage to get his contact details! We always wished we had. So when we crossed paths again this year – we couldn’t believe it. This time, we made sure not to miss the chance to truly connect!

We’re beyond touched and incredibly grateful for fans like him. It’s the love and support of our community that energises us to keep going – creating products that become a part of your everyday journey.
