This year’s Bosses Network Learning Cruise was more than just an event—it was a voyage of inspiration, connection, and reflection. With the theme “Embarking on New Voyages,” the 3-day, 2-night experience brought together business leaders and entrepreneurs, all navigating change in their own ways. We were honoured to be part of this meaningful journey, graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs.
For us at Freshening, the theme resonated deeply. Earlier this year, we began a significant new chapter under the leadership of our newly appointed Managing Director, Ms Moh Yan Ting — the second generation to take the helm. Ms Moh was the keynote speaker. She shared our story, taking the audience through key milestones and turning points that have shaped our company over the years.
She also spoke about the strategic importance of marketing in driving brand value, the values we hold close as a company, and the exciting direction we’re steering toward—particularly our commitment to sustainability and digital transformation. These are not just buzzwords to us, but pillars for our future.
Adding a touch of fun to our session, our beloved mascot made a surprise appearance, bringing smiles, photo moments, and a wave of nostalgia to the crowd. As a small token of appreciation, we also delighted attendees with curated gift sets featuring some of our best-loved products along with our newest innovations.
Beyond our own sharing, we walked away inspired by the heartfelt stories of other speakers. One standout was Ms Yen Lim, Founder of Mdm Partum by Chien Chi Tow, whose journey struck a deep chord. She shared how she courageously took over her father’s traditional business and gave it a fresh new face— transforming it for the modern market while honouring the core values, practices, and rich history that had been lovingly built over the years.
Mr Dedrick Loo of Sunlink Engineering Pte Ltd shared candidly about overcoming challenges with resilience. Ms Zoe Zuo, Managing Director of Innovative Hub, offered fresh perspectives on 小红书 Rednote. Mr Peter Koh, Executive Director and Group CEO of Oceanus Group Limited shared his story of turning a company around. It was both humbling and empowering.
There were so many more insightful talks throughout the cruise— each one a reminder of the diverse journeys and wisdom within the business community. Every speaker brought something unique to the table, making this an enriching experience for all who came on board.
